New name & a new look & some dusting off.

Wow I checked out this blog and I have not posted since I purchased a new Nintendo DSi and that has been well, a while almost 2 yrs to be exact. The DSi came out April 5, 2009 and I posted April 18, 2009. Anyway this blog was going to just fade away or I could bring it back to life, I chose to let it live! When I get a new game or a new gadget I go on the net and see whats out there, and for some things I find a lot and for others not much. So there is a place for my 2 cents about what I think about a new game or hand held system. I find that some reviews are good and some bad, everyone has their own opinion. I don't want to review a game and end up with a long winded blog post that is just a reworded opinion of 30 other reviews out there. If anyone wants to read what I have to say cool, and if you don't cool. I am just going to review games that I am into and play or purchase and if you end up liking the kind of games/systems that I like then come back there may be more you would like to check out. Well that's it for now, I have a backlog of games that I feel need to be given more credit and I have 1 on my mind that I feel has been released and just put out and never another word about it. So that will be the game I do first, want a hint? Sony released it for the PSP in March of 2010, and there are still a lot of players online but no one talks about it anymore. Until then later!

Nintendo`s new DSi.

I bought me a new Nintendo DSi a few days after they were released, (April 5th). I wanted to get it on the 5th but the cash situation was not to good so I held out, but on the 8th I jumped in my truck and went to Walmart with the idea that if they have them in stock I will get one. Well there they were in the display case and I had to have one, I think I would have checked a few other places if all they had was the cotton candy blue model. Anyway I was getting me a black DSi, and I was ready to get a game in it and check it out so I paid for it and started to head home. Damn! I thought, I need some screen protection for this new DSi. I always put screen protection on my new handhelds, a habit that I have had since I got my 1st Palm m130 years ago. The second I open the box on a new PSP or DS, I put a screen protector on it. It`s better to scratch a $7.99 screen protector then the screen on a $169.00 gaming handheld. So I turned around and headed back to Walmart and picked up a set of Nintendo licenced screen protectors that came with a couple styluses and a DS game case that holds 4 games. Now I need a new game and I have been wanting Chrono Trigger so this is the perfect time to get it, but they did not have a copy so I headed off to Kmart where I picked it up. Now I have everything I need so off I went to run it through it`s first gaming session. I loved it frome the second I opened the box! I have been on it constantly and my PSP`s have been taking up some shelf space for a change. The wi-fi and Opera browser are just awsome, I never got my DS Lite hooked up to my wi-fi access point because the encryption I have set up is not compatable with the DS Lite. The DSi is compatable and I have been using my PSP`s to access the net for 2 years now, but the PSP is kind of hard to enter text so I did not blog with it much. The DSi it great for entering text with the virtual keyboard and stylus, so I think I will be posting more about the DSi.

Future postings to watch out for.

I will be posting some photos of my systems and an explanation about each one and links to sites that you can get more info if you so desire. I am sure most of you know what the PSP and the NDS are as they are common these days but the Tapwave Zodiac is not so popular any more, and in fact there was only one production run I think then the company went out of business. There is still a cult following of the Zodiac and you can still get them on eBay now and then and if you are into handheld gaming I would suggest picking one up if you can. There is also an open source handheld game system called the GP2X from Game Park Holdings which I want to get soon. It has a touch screen like a PDA and the NDS. It also runs a version of Linux as the operating system and has multimedia capabilities like the PSP, it is a very hot system and open source so there are thousands of apps available for it. Anyway I will soon be posting photos and links to the different systems and give you my personal opinion about the ones that I have and know about first hand. So check back for more info about these systems.

Yet another direction for the blog.

Once again the name and contents of this blog will change, I have recently acquired a new Nintendo DS and the game Orcs & Elves. So now I have 3 different handheld gaming systems to talk about. The PSP, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS Light and the Tapwave Zodiac 2. I also have PC games and a PS2 but I think that I will keep this blog to just the handheld systems because they are my favorite and the ones that I play the most. Well that's it for now I just wanted to change the direction of the blog and let the online world know so if you happen upon this blog check back soon and there just might be something of interest for you. Later and happy handheld gaming!

A new direction for this blog.

I have decided to make this blog about the Play Station Portable or PSP as it is better known. I figured just posting from my PSP as I had originally intended would not be enough, so I will just post everything about the PSP as I see it. What I think about PSP games, accessories and functions that it has. So as of today all my posts about the PSP will go here and not on my other blogs, I think this blog might just be my favorite.

PSP post

Well this is cool, I have started this blog with my PSP. And I will only use my PSP to post to it in the future. It takes a lot of thumb typing to even just say a little bit, so my words will be kept short.
Now I have to figure out how to send a photo. I have the camera for the PSP, so now I just gotta figure out how to make it all work. Oh I just love this digital world!
